TULSA, Okla., February 22, 2009 – Stonebridge announced today that Samir Kumar has joined the company as practice leader of IT Services Management, reporting to CEO James Ivy.
Kumar is charged with spearheading a new service offering at Stonebridge around Information Technology Services Management (ITSM). ITSM utilizes the industry-standard ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework to help companies structure IT activities around a service approach to IT management and strategy. At Stonebridge, Kumar is tasked with defining and delivering ITSM-related offerings that are aligned with the company’s core offerings.
Prior to joining Stonebridge, Kumar was with IBM Global Services for seven years. Since 2004 he has been a member of the IBM account team supporting Williams Energy in Tulsa where he led a major effort to architect and implement an end-to-end ITSM business solution. Before joining IBM, he was five years at Tata Consultancy Services where he led a number of projects for large accounts including Bank of New York and American Express, serving in various locales in the United States, Japan, Australia, and India.
Kumar’s technical / professional qualifications include PMP and ITIL certifications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from India’s premier technical institute, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
