Stonebridge Technologies to Develop Business Intelligence Solution for Dobson Cellular Systems
DALLAS, March 19, 2002 – Stonebridge Technologies, a provider of business and technology integration services, has been engaged by Dobson Cellular Systems to design, develop and implement a data warehouse that will enable the company to track key performance indicators related to its service to 1.3 million managed subscribers and to provide instantaneous access to information across the enterprise. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Stonebridge will help Dobson develop a Web-enabled data warehouse that will permit Dobson to create standard business reports, perform ad hoc queries and do multidimensional analysis of operational metrics, such as subscriber activity, billing, intercarrier transactions and call-center performance. The data will be available to users through a Web browser via Dobson’s corporate intranet.
Stonebridge is providing technical consulting support for data modeling, data integration, reporting strategy and implementation for Dobson’s data warehouse project.
Tom Morgan, Chief Information Officer at Dobson Cellular Systems, said, “In the current competitive environment, it is imperative that key performance metrics be available to all levels of our organization. The data warehouse project allows us to get consistent high-quality information to the people who need it – this keeps everyone on the same page regarding our business performance at any given time.”
“Our role is to help our customers optimize their resources: people, processes, technology, and data – and one way to do that is through data warehousing,” said James Ivy, Stonebridge’s CEO. “Organizations have a wealth of information within their computer systems. Business intelligence solutions allow companies to identify, consolidate and use these information assets to improve business insight and increase business performance.”
