Stonebridge Technologies, Inc. And Tactics, Inc. Merge
Two Leading IT Solutions Organizations Combine Strengths
To Become Largest Regional Supplier
DALLAS, Texas, September 28, 1999 – Stonebridge Technologies, Inc., a leading regional solutions integrator today announced the completion of its merger with Tactics, Inc., the premier solutions integrator in the Southeast. The blended company will continue operations using a regional business model under the name Stonebridge Technologies: Stonebridge Technologies Southcentral, headquartered in Dallas, and Stonebridge Technologies Southeast, headquartered in Atlanta. Tactics, recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, will continue to deliver a wide range of information technology solutions to Fortune 1000 and mid-size companies as Stonebridge Technologies Southeast.
"Our merger with Tactics is very exciting and represents a critical milestone in the company's growth," said Jim Sherriff, chief executive officer, Stonebridge Technologies. "The merger significantly increases the breadth and depth of our organization and will enhance the value of the solutions we deliver. The solutions expertise of the integrated company will continue to focus on Data Warehousing, Internet Technologies, Complex Application development and Packaged Applications Deployment."
Each company is a recognized market leader in its respective geographic region, has similar corporate cultures, has demonstrated its commitment to excellence and consistently delivers preeminent service experiences to clients. The merger supports the extension of the company's unique business strategy: delivery of 90 percent or more of IT engagements with local consultants. This gives clients significant improvements in productivity, reduces the risk typically associated with implementing complex technology solutions and yields cost-effective results.
"The merger between Tactics and Stonebridge Technologies brings together two very like-minded companies with highly complementary business strategies," said Dewey Blaylock, former president and founder of Tactics, now president of Stonebridge Technologies Southeast. "Both companies are well-regarded for their expertise in delivering user-centric business solutions to a stellar client base. The synergies resulting from our combined expertise will facilitate the transformation of our clients' information systems to achieve greater competitiveness needed for the new e-business economy."
"The Tactics merger immediately provides regional leadership within the Southeastern United States while expanding the intellectual capital of both companies around our core competencies," said James Ivy, founder of Stonebridge Technologies and president of Stonebridge Technologies South-central. "The company has embarked on an aggressive integration plan and anticipates completion within 90 days."
