Executive Search Firm's Regional Operations Collaborate More Effectively and Gain Revenue Opportunities

The engagement, scheduled to be completed fourth quarter 1999, has already resulted in HealthCare Recruiters deploying streamlined, more effective business processes and policies to facilitate more effective cooperation of franchisee interactions. Restructuring of the company's knowledge base will open franchisees' revenue opportunities by quickly matching a wider range of employment candidates and positions. When completed, franchisees will have access to candidate profiles and job listings via a new corporate Intranet.

With about 150,000 potential employment candidates, HealthCare Recruiters has the industry's largest database of healthcare professionals and related information. There are 32 franchised HealthCare Recruiters offices nationwide. While each franchisee operates as a discrete entity, restructured information will help build an integrated, coast-to-coast organization — a move aimed at further raising HealthCare Recruiters' credibility among executive search clients and candidates, and building cooperation among independent offices.
Franchisees will continue to compete with each other to supply candidates for open job slots. However, database and policy modifications recommended and implemented by Stonebridge will automatically regulate that competition. By aligning the data system with equitable business rules, these changes will increase revenue opportunities by encouraging franchisees to collaborate. For example, the restructured database will allow all locations to search for candidates for placement anywhere utilizing multiple qualifications, not just name or contact information. Also, the database will automatically split fees between offices that contribute to a successful search.

Improved Operations Increases Productivity and Lowers Cost
Currently, each HealthCare Recruiters franchisee has a copy of the central database and sends it to the corporate office every night for consolidation. The revised database is then returned to each franchisee for next day's business. To reduce HealthCare Recruiters' operating costs, Stonebridge is streamlining the process by establishing a dynamic Internet-based central database that franchises will access through a Web browser. Because database changes will update in real time instead of overnight, franchisees will be able to perform more effective and timely searches — a competitive advantage.
The restructured database system, designed and deployed by Stonebridge, will employ a thin client architecture with an Oracle database and Netscape Enterprise Server application server software running on Sun Microsystems servers. Cold Fusion software will provide Web-based functionality.
