VARbusiness 500 Membership Awarded to Tactics, Inc.
ATLANTA, Georgia, November 6, 1997 – Tactics has been named as a member of the 1997 VARBusiness 500. This is an exclusive ranking of the top 500 VARs, systems integrators, and IT consultants in North America-Tactics was ranked 424 of 500, and was ranked 4th on the VARBusiness 500 Fast 50 due to impressive growth for the first full year as a VAR. Results of the listing were published in the August 15 issue of VARBusiness magazine.
An in-depth screening process is done to measure the qualifications for companies considered for the list. Companies are asked to supply information about annual revenue, the technologies they sell, the markets targeted, and the top vendors the company works with. Being named to the list is a significant accomplishment for Tactics considering that the listed group of VARs is a driving force in the technology industry. This group accounts for a combined total of $130 billion in annual sales, while setting the product and technology standards not only for customers, but also for other Solutions companies to follow.
Other prestigious 1997 VARBusiness 500 members included IBM Global Services, EDS Corp., Andersen Consulting, Computer Sciences Corp., and GE Capital IT Solutions. This year's research for compiling the list shows an extremely healthy industry, with an average organization's revenue increasing about 20% over last year. Tactics is pleased to report a 200% increase.
