Tactics Partners in Oracle's Warehouse Technology Initiative
ATLANTA, Georgia, December 18, 1998 - Tactics, Inc. was selected to participate in Oracle Corporation's recently announced Oracle Warehouse Technology Initiative , a partner initiative for data warehousing. Data warehousing often involves many technologies from multiple vendors. Six partner categories comprise WTI ¾source, manage, access, design and administration, data content provider and system integrator; as well as future planned providers for analytical applications and relationship management solutions.
Tactics is well equipped to fulfill the design and administration category by helping to plan and design a data warehouse from the ground up. They implement extraction validation and analysis (EVA)¾a set of PERL modules and scripts developed by Tactics and used to examine sample extract data sets as part of the data warehouse analysis and design phases. Allowing potential cleansing and transformation challenges to be identified early in the warehouse development cycle reduces risk and implementation cost.

As a WTI partner, Tactics educational, technical and joint marketing opportunities will extend the value of a customer's Oracle warehouse. The WTI certification process will test partner products against the Oracle product families, thus ensuring high performance, seamless integration and compatibility.
